Dr. Chico stays up to date on the latest technology and treatments, incorporating technologies like continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) to help you prevent and manage serious medical conditions. Dr. Chico wants you to leave her office understanding how you can work toward optimal health, a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle and the confidence of having a supportive healthcare team.
Born and raised in Goa, India, Dr. Chico graduated from Goa Medical College in 1996. She continued her medical training at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport with an internal medicine internship and residency, during which she was chief resident. Dr. Chico completed a fellowship in diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism also at LSUHSC-S in 2007.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Chico enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing piano, listening to music, and cooking.
